Simulator Performance Flight has one of the most advanced simulators available. The Frasca Flight Training Device features a real Cirrus Cockpit complete with dual Garmin 430’s, CAPS (Cirrus Airframe Parachute System), S-TEC 55X Autopilot, deicing, active circuit breakers, and much more. This is one of only two systems that have been certified by the FAA as a Level 1 Flight Training Device. This level of certification allows you to substitute simulator hours for flying time and provides you with an opportunity to safely practice emergency procedures, such as launching the parachute, or landing in high wind conditions. An advanced instructor console allows for some serious training. Your instructor, seated behind you and out of sight, can trip circuit breakers and change conditions allowing you to hone your skills while gaining confidence. Training with a simulator will offer you a great learning opportunity at a lower cost than flying. We strongly encourage all pilots to utilize the simulator at least 10 hours per year to practice skills not normally conducted in the air.
